Re: The Cherry Chariot
Wowzers. I love it. 10k RPM ready ;-) What are your plans for bonding the aluminum and fiberglass? And why didn't you use CF ;) I'm going to build some intakes for my EJ22, going to do mild steel first for proof of concept but I love the 'Glass or Carbon Fibre for v2.0. (1) I think my engine will f...

Re: The Cherry Chariot
Why do you want to make it smaller? Big is good in most respects. Big = easier to tune AE. Big = less pressure drop on each intake stroke. Big is fine :-) Okay. Well it's gonna get a bit smaller so it's good that I made it over twice the recommended size :D The open end is massive. I could probably...

Re: The Cherry Chariot
Okay I lied. It's not 8mm thick, but it will be! :D I have some fitment issues to work out so it is far from done. Pretty much the last thing I will do on the car. Here's one picture, I'm having some issues with putfile right now. As you can see, the angles don't all line up right now either. I have...

Re: The Cherry Chariot
How thick was the layup on the FSAE car? My setup is about 8 mm thick, and using West System epoxy resin as opposed to polyester resin. I can easily stand on it (100 kg) with no flexing.

Re: High Quality Automotive Wire Sources??
One word, tefzel (or PTFE for the non-branded variety). This is the only wire that i would use if i was doing a professional harness for any car. Its tinned multi-strand wire with a teflon coating which is good in a number of different ways. Firstly its temperature resistant to more than you care a...

Re: FreeEMS hardware feature wishlist (your suggestions here!)
Sorry Admin, no pics yet, still waiting for a bunch of stuff from Parallax. All I have so far is dozens of drawings and flow charts on a notepad. I promise it won't be a dead-end project though...I can't put my dash back in the car until I have the gauges/displays working and installed, and the dash...

Re: Simplifying real-time barometric correction
I like having two sensors. It would be great to have a realtime barometer on my dash display
That said, what Subaru does/did is switch a solenoid to change pressure sources every once in a while and use a single sensor.
