Re: MS2/Extra 3.1.1 released Hi James, I would like to ask you about the RENIX 44-2-2 mode, in the file "ms2_extra_ign_wheel.c" we can see 19 teeth of 8.2° and one of 24.6°, but 19*8.2+1*24.6=180.4 (and not 180°). Does that change anything ? :?: @+ Fabien. Not a great deal, no. Theoretica...

Re: Puma board for FreeEMS
Mini is not obsolete since this is not an OTG port and will never be with the FTDI chip. Your link mentions that the mini is still completely compliant in this case.

Re: JimStim Wheel Pattern Issues/Inaccuracies
Well, I just put the scope on the JimStim and I don't see it anywhere on the full RPM range. So either you have a defective JimStim or your firmware is not logging what is actually happenning or there is a comm issue. So unless you can actually scope this and tell me how you managed to get this, I'l...

Re: JimStim Wheel Pattern Issues/Inaccuracies
Having the time scale on this would be useful. Also, using different RPMs to see if that is related to it or if you always get the same pattern. Finally, just make sure the DIP switches are correctly set :) I'm curious to know how you could get such an output from a correctly functioning and configu...

Re: JimStim Wheel Pattern Issues/Inaccuracies
Fred, You're right that the MS decoder won't sync as fast as it could since it could take up to 2 full rev to do it. So if FreeEMS can improve on that then it's a good thing. But are you taking angular information from all the edges? That may not be as good because there may be more variation but I ...

Re: JimStim Wheel Pattern Issues/Inaccuracies
The MS decoder works correctly and the JimStim signal is correct for validating it. As far as I know, the decoder looks only at one edge of the outer slots and the state of the inner slot at these outer slots edges. I'm not saying this is optimal or not in either the MS or the JimStim implementation...

Re: JimStim Wheel Pattern Issues/Inaccuracies
The JimStim patterns have been developed to test and work with the MS decoder. While an effort has been done to have the patterns reflect the real ones, there are limitations due to the JimStim code, the MS decoder code, the limited (or total lack of) accurate data, or a mix of all these. There is a...

Here's the MFG of that enclosure, note the ends can have bent tabs, that work as mounting points. http://contextengineering.com/split_body_enclosures.html These are the Megasquirt enclosures or damn close to it. Doesn't make it good or bad just amusing... As for the Cinch enclosure, it is nice prod...
