Re: Daily WTF

It's also not the first time. I have (and use) a catch all for the part of the e-mail address before the @, I register different names with different folks. The address I used for the msefi forum(s) gets spammed on a semi regular basis. Normally one wouldn't know they are getting spammed because of ...

Re: OpenEcu.info

Yeah, it moved here http://www.open5xxxecu.org/

OpenECU.info is used by another project, it changed partly because it's common for folks to poo poo URL hijacking, this new URL should be less of a hijack.

Re: Spudmn's Puma board build

Cool, cool. Is it really important to have the error accurate for every CPU cycle, or on the average? I might wonder if deviation away from the 0 line is as important as having the area under the curve at 0. Also what might cause an upset? Perhaps when one switches on and off devices from the xtal b...

Re: Spudmn's Puma board build

It appears your graph is an OO or Libreoffice file. What program/format is that graph and math generated with? When do you plan to post it such that others can view it? Your .9 zeta seems suspect to me. Typically more overshoot is a result of a steeper ramp. Your .9 zeta claims to get there faster, ...

Re: Spudmn's Puma board build

Is there a reason why you don't want to post your actual math? For example, what un-required terms did you deem un-required? If you post your math, we can verify where your numbers came from. For now, I know Marco's stuff worked, I don't know that yours will. If I could follow your math to prove or ...

Re: Spudmn's Puma board build

Sounds like this could be an issue. Fred can you post your math, referencing equations and such? That way others can verify as well. This will allow folks to run the math over a variety of component tolerances, or include the couple pF found in the PCB ect.

Re: TA parts list

I see it has the LM chip that I just nicked from DFH, so it's probably good for much of what you need. I also see it has some drive circuits, so it might also be good for some other circuits as well. If you upgrade those drive chips, it might be good for injector control. After that you'd would most...

Re: Injector Control Options

I just added a note about 257 injections per second, which turns out to be a bit over 5 watts per channel with 40V OVP's.

Re: General Purpose Low Level Ignition Drive

Sorry about that. I read it as low level drive, not low level ignition drive. Fred is correct the higher voltage changes things for ignition. It changes the dwell, such they they are not on full time, ect.

Re: Injector Control Options

The page is titled "injector_driver_theory" not injector selection or ignition. You're right my initial draft did mention things like sequential injection, which has several implications. I changed that to instead read per rev injection. My rough calculations were not to show how to select...
