Re: PSoC based possibilities
I work with PSOC on a daily basis. As a general platform they are not good, by most typical metrics they totally suck: -banked memory, -3MIPS @ 24mhz, -power hungry. Also: -it has poor documentation, -small user base. psocdeveloper.com is the main forum about psoc and this forum has more activity on...

Re: Nifty Wideband to Check Out
Weaknesses: RPM pickup is for 5 volt square wave, for interfacing with a tach you will need to put in atleast a resistor in series with the tach signal. Ideally you want to have a resistor+cap+diode circuit. This issue is addressed with the new JAW I will release in July Slow response time, the res...

Re: Knock detection filter circuitry
Hi, I have some interest in knock sensing. To me the ideal method would to use DSP techniques and forget about using too much analog filters. That would probably require a 32 bit uC perhaps maybe even a very high end 32 bit uC. A good starting point would be to use a USB based DAQ system and do the ...

Re: possibly pursuing a wideband o2 controller
Selecting the right microcontroller is very critical. 90% of the work is writing code for the micro. The right micro will not magically make everything perfect, but using the wrong micro will ensure that your project never gets off the ground. When I mean right and wrong, 50% has to do with the spec...

Re: Low quantity pcb manufacturers
Hi All, I have done extensive shopping for PCBs and here are my opinions: PCBfabexpress: Last time I ordered from them, about 1.5 years ago, they had awesome specials, something like $10 per 2 layer board with good specs. It looks like they no longer offer those specials, but their prices are still ...
