Re: Widebands That You Would or Wouldn't Buy

The 4.9 might solve alot of issues with the innovate design, the sensor temperature signal is much stronger on the 4.9 vs the 4.2. The temperature signal on a 4.2 is ~ 5v*80/10080, the temperature signal on the 4.9 is ~5v*300/10300, essentially the temperature signal on the 4.9 is 300/80=3.75 times ...

Re: New Wideband Controller from 14Point7, Spartan 2

There are 2 problems with going richer than 10 AFR (0.68 Lambda). First issue is that the Bosch datasheet only specifics operation as rich as 0.68 lambda. The 2nd issue is that I have chosen to output 10-20 lambda on the linear output of my units, this is a pretty standard output which is compatible...

Re: Open Source LSU4.9 Wideband Controller

Whenever there is a O2 concentration difference between the sample chamber and the pump/nernst cell there will be a voltage generated. That is probably not the best wording, there are proper electro chemistry terms that eludes me. The oxygen sensor is more or less a symmetrical device. Look at the 3...

New Wideband Controller from 14Point7, Spartan 2

Hi Guys, It is time to whore myself on DYIEFI again. I just released Spartan Lambda Controller 2, which replaces my Spartan Lambda Controller. http://www.14point7.com/products/spartan-lambda-controller-2 The webpage will be updated soon, right now it is mostly a carbon copy of my Spartan1 webpage. C...

Re: Widebands That You Would or Wouldn't Buy

I see that PLX has bumped their version up to "GEN4". Looks like it's just a firmware change to support the LSU4.9 sensor. I guess I'll order one to check it out. To support the LSU 4.9 you need a firmware change and also you need to add a resistor, ~100k, between the feedback signal and ...

Re: Widebands That You Would or Wouldn't Buy

The curve is slightly different between the 2 documents for the rich side, for the lean side both curves look identical (within rounding error). I would go with the first document as it is closer to what I consider as a datasheet, the 2nd document is more akin to promotional literature. What I would...

Ok, I will take that unit, your current unit. I will just use the linear output.

Re: Widebands That You Would or Wouldn't Buy

Hi,

Does the LCD work, all I need is to see the AFR/Lambda value when I benchmark it using lab gas.

Does the unit support/require free air calibration? If it does then I assume it is via a PC connection, so I would need the PC connection to work.

Re: Widebands That You Would or Wouldn't Buy

Does it still work from time to time, or is it pretty much dead?

Would you be interested in doing a swap for a SLC DIY2?
