Holy smokes! It is 12/27. Can I still get in for one?
I am in the US.

Re: Warm Up Enrichment - how much do you run at what temps?
Fred, Ok, this is mine. I **know** that this is not good for 'at load' during WUE. I have it tuned so that idle is reasonable and under load is rich. When I drive on this and ambient temps are low (near freezing), it is very rich. IMO, 2 WUEs are needed. One for idle and one for under load. Gearhead

Re: We need to lay out a basic board
I am of the opinion that at this point there can be too much protection especially at this phase of the project. If it takes board space and requires more components, we need to discuss it. For example, I do not think that digi protection is required if it burns board space. I have built multiple MS...

Re: We need to lay out a basic board
Guys, I have been really busy. Broken car, lots of work, etc. Jharvey, I have not reviewed your schematic recently. If I remember from looking at it previously, there were hall sensors on drivers and such which are all good, but add components and complexity that most of us will not want/need. Most ...

Re: We need to lay out a basic board
excellent discussion! If we break it down into 'boards', I see a need for one being an input/power supply. This would have 6 a2d and 2 optos and/or 2 LM1815. Another board needs to be the outputs. The only high level that need to be on the dev boards are injector driver (6) FETs (and as we have disc...

Re: FREEEMS hardware schematic and PCB
I need to chime in here, too. I was looking at stuff a while back and it just sounded easier to me to build a DB37 swappable system on a single board (no TA card). This will allow the number of us developers to swap in a complete system on our systems that currently run MS. I posted this somewhere a...

Re: Separating the power and signal grounds on a V3 board
Thinking about this a bit more. Are you saying that it was getting warm on the bench or in the car? If on the bench, I have no idea how that could happen. If in the car, I agree with Fred in that the FETs are rugged. I have never installed the current limiting (it was not there on the V2.2) and have...

Re: Separating the power and signal grounds on a V3 board
Why do you want to limit current to 14A anyway? I have never used those. Short the power resistors (R37 and R38) and remove Q14 and Q15.

Re: PCB layout - JHarvey
"The Process" would be: Coming up to speed with what Fred has coded to date and figuring what portions of the code you can help with. As I understand it, there is no code which will run a car as of yet and the concept is to have it as modular as possible. The firmware forum is here: http:/...
