Re: Daily WTF

Boy, for someone who wants to eliminate everything MS from his life you sure waste a lot of energy posting and debating about them and trying to find issues where there's none. If that is what I think it is, it's called forum maintenance. There's an 11 page thread on the PID correction subject with...

Re: Proposed Public Git Repo Layout

Sounds fine to me, though I'd expect there maybe multiple branchs of the "tmp" style and that a more free-form naming might be applicable. i.e. for my own work I tend to name the branch based on the theme of that workflow, mainly so its easy to remember and if hard-core folower wish to tra...

Re: Fred's first MTX tuning session!

Thanks for all the info! The only thing I have to say is that it is fundamentally incorrect to do ANYTHING with the packet once the checksum fails. You should count it and drop it at that point. You certainly should NOT parse it further and report bogus errors as they are meaningless and worthless ...

Re: Fred's first MTX tuning session!

This thread is to document the findings of a single half hour session driving around in the rain trying to sort the car out a bit better. Firstly, thanks dave, MTX was a pleasure to use, mostly! :-) X11 on the mac, freezing, not such a pleasure (3 times, had to reboot machine...). Console afterward...

Re: Dave's unofficial TODO list from his favorite nitpicker

Yeah, I set the default in the code to be 16 16 for you a while back, all tables are that now, though in future if a tuning app supports it they could easily all be different and the firmware wouldn't care. the lambda table is 6 the ignition table is 8 the format, size, structure, offsets, are all ...

Re: Dave's unofficial TODO list from his favorite nitpicker

OK, tonight we tried to use MTX to adjust the box in my truck, and had some luck, and some hassles. You probably know about some of it, but I'll list here anyway. Firstly, though, thanks for all your awesome work getting us this far, brilliant! :-) The first thing to come to mind is that fetch from...

Re: Dave's unofficial TODO list from his favorite nitpicker

For fcuks sake, Dave, seriously.... I wrote that post while running out the door/going to sleep in order to give you information to think about on a subconscious level before I went away and before i could get you a trace, why be such a pain about it? I said "no, I don't have a trace" bec...
