I like the idea of an isolated high current/low current concept. But that's much harder to do on a 2-layer board vs. 4 layer, IMO. I agree that for the time being a DB style connector is acceptable. The only DB failures I've seen have been due to over-soldering the female socket... And even that was barely a "failure" in any sense, just a poor connection. The good news is modifying a board layout for a DB vs AMP conne...

While I spent more time at WOT than most people I know, I really don't think most people spend enough time at WOT to make this work even if you saw TRUE unmolested atmospheric pressure at WOT which as mentioned above - very few people do.
