Re: Puma board (spin 1)
Oh, missed a page of posts! Awesome you're adding some dummy-lights. I assume you don't have a socket for this part? It would be awesome to have someone put the boot-loader on all the chips, then mail them out. I probably could find/get/make a set up, perhaps one person per country is the best idea....

Re: Puma board (spin 1)
I'll have to check digikey, and see what/if there are any pricebreaks. Josh (do you read these?), I can get enough for another set, sneak it in with some work order, save on shipping. Everyone but josh - I would never order stuff at work just to have them cover shipping. I've certainly got a few pro...

Re: FreeEMS hardware feature wishlist (your suggestions here!)
You just leave it as a choice - the important thing is to cut something which is cycle by cycle and not try to precisely adjust the big volume knob which is boost.

Re: freeEMS_1.0 rev A KICAD
Jean does a lot of nice stuff, I borrowed (on his suggestion) just idea of a jumper block, and found it to be more flexible even than I got from his initial advice. It both allows tinkering with signals as well as simple routing. The more I look into it, the more I like the stacked approach - sure, ...

Re: freeEMS_1.0 rev A KICAD
I must agree on that. Ignition timing becomes critical at high RPMs, while I think fuel timing isn't as important. It is important how long you are injecting, but not so important *when* you start the injection -and the time scales are totally different-. I'd use the hardware timers on ignition. us...

http://abefm.smugmug.com/MegaSquirt-Stuff/NB-MS-Adapterboard/First-Build-Final-Kit/img6520/624615306_vBx3c-L.jpg I almost did it here - i.e. the one jumper in the front of the connector row (p5 I think, hard to read), it's defaulted "on" but can be cut off. Similarly on the connector, you...

Re: freeEMS_1.0 rev A KICAD
I know it's been asked before, but Fred - a guess on injectors would be awesome! Then we can move forward. Personally, I'd hedge. Do the jumper holes thing, with cut away traces. It's set up for the best guess, but, if you need to rewire it, you cut the traces with a razor and add jumpers in the hol...

Speaking of - http://www.diyefi.org/forum/viewtopic.p ... 9930#p9930 - What are we using for injector drivers? I remember testing some stuff, and it getting warm. Meh.
Anyway, we should revisit this? Right now the board is high ohm only? No p&H, even in software?

Re: FreeEMS hardware feature wishlist (your suggestions here!)
Gear dependent is certainly what you see the most of - and I want a lot more boost at 40 mph in 4th than I do in second! I've seen cars with less boost in the midrange (factory), though supposedly that was for the transmission's sake. Still, it's hard to see how RPM and gear selection wouldn't be en...
