GPL vs MIT and copyright ownership requirement

Does that means GPL is more restricted than MIT? This depends on who you ask, and what your goals are. GPL people like to poo poo MIT by claiming it has weak copyleft, while MIT people like to poo poo GPL by claiming it's viral. In my opinion, MIT is less restricting and therefore more open. Howeve...

Re: My core board & I/O board design, need your comments

Hey, I see files from Jared and Marcos in your repo, including TAPR license stuff. This is one of the reasons why I have a mild preference to work under MIT and specify NA for my portion of the copy right signature. I don't want a tracking mechanism that causes me to be bothered with this kind of c...

Re: DI and Diesel injector circuits (for DI use only)

@jharvey yes I do have access to a multimeter, oscope etc will try scoping some bosch or delphi common rail injectors as they are mode widely available than denso. Cool keep me posted. As for dry firing a DI injector well the fuel is what cools it, and for common rail injectors they will not work w...

Re: Spare IO And Aux Functionality UIs

A PID controlled PWM eFan is one of my pet projects, can you tell? Water pump is next. I just posted this article, I though you might find it interesting. http://forum.diyefi.org/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=1334 Also OpenServo might be a handy reference for PID with a low cost AVR controller. It's not...

Re: Spare IO And Aux Functionality UIs

I seem to recall that most of preludelinux list is on Fred's non configurable list. Last I looked at it, I seem to recall we have a very limited set of items that Fred plans to allow to have some form of configuration. The opposite is true! What are you smoking? I want some! :-) Core pins are fixed...

Re: Ravage through hole compatable devices for DIY TA build

DFH used to use a very similar chip to the MAX VR chip, a LM1815 it comes as a thru hole, but doesn't have as good of a common mode rejection, and has some mild problems with skipped tooth wheels.

Re: DI and Diesel injector circuits (for DI use only)

I've looked into this more, but haven't posted it to the wiki. I'm still interested in DI so I've been making some progress in terms of hardware. Perhaps one day someone can back it with software. As for hardware, I'm more than willing to help with the concept and design. It sounds like you have har...

Re: Newbee questions on injected LPG for a 289 windsor

DFH is a bit dated, but many parts are still good-ish like the wiki page where it shows the basic capabilities, and general layout. Check the wiki found here. http://wiki.freeems.org, also PUMA helps show the basic overview you might want to check http://puma.freeems.org.
