Re: Another potential language choice for tuning

I feel most comfortable in Java, or anything Java-like (C# comes to mind). I wouldn't dare use it for an embedded system though.

Re: Another potential language choice for tuning

I learned Ruby pretty well for a Ruby on Rails senior project I did. Made a trading website combining the visual appeal of eBay and the no-nonsense content of craigslist. I promptly forgot Ruby immediately after. It's a nice language, I enjoyed it enough. I'm the kind of guy who needs to be 100% com...

Re: "Main Loop" Task Scheduling Algorithm Discussion

The math related to idle control doesn't need to take place above x where x is the user-entered value for idle rpm + the amount of rpm needed to soften the transition to idle.

I voted 21 x 22 (taking into account the need for rpm columns near idle), reason being it seems to straddle the extreme needs of both boost vs. rpm camps well enough without leaning one way or the other. Addition discussion was here: http://www.e30tech.com/forum/showthread.php?t=61926 An idea came t...

Re: Decoding Nissan style Mitsi Electric 360 slot cam sensors

Not sure how much help I can be but I've dealt with the Nissan trigger situation a bit. I've got a USDM SR20DE engine with VEMS engine management. VEMS can't keep up with the amount of information the stock CAS disc pushes out, so a replacement disc must be used. Some folks experience this on RWD SR...
