Name the first FreeEMS version to run an engine!

Post by Fred »

I'm going to have to bump the next version from 0.0.20 to 0.1.0 as I always said I would when it worked and for this we will need a name!

Some things to consider :
  • Done on the road around the USA
  • Fuel only control
  • Done on a Volvo
  • Used Abe's board
  • First real and proper drive was in Pompano Beach Florida
  • Drove 900miles/1500km on it
  • Tuned by Rob/m2cupcar
  • Tuner deved on demand in Wellington NZ by Aaron
You have a little time as I have work to do before that code is published, but it would be nice to see some discussion here about this rather important occasion :-)

I was thinking more along the lines of 0.1.0 Asthmatic (if you catch my drift).

A few names came up after going through your leftovers
  • snap crackle pop
    skippy
Or maybe something that commemorates your road trip:
  • crusade
    pilgrimage
    odyssey
    quest
Or just significant of your road trip:
  • hot pursuit
    vigilante
    sangria
    warped
    top speed
    fast lane
    porpoise
:D

Maybe 0.1.0 Infant or 0.1.0 Baby Steps is more along the lines of what I was getting at. I'm more of a self deprecating type of guy.
