Post Forum Update!!
Hi All

I've just upgraded the forum to the latest version. There is some new functionality, but I'm unsure what it is. The few small fixes that I did preiviously have NOT been reincluded, yet.

Please report anything new/different in this thread so I can check it out.

Please do not report the fact that links open in the same window and that the "you posted" screen is back and that the frame of the posting screen is different.

Anything else: Glad to hear about it :-)

Fred.

The old style does not currently work with the new features... so I'll have to fix that soon. In the mean time, new features should be available with this style or the other default one. Thanks for your patience.

I've updated the style and tested two things only :

Quick reply now works.
Recaptcha works for registration.

If you see anything else that isn't right, give us a shout.

I want to redo the mod that gets rid of the posting redirect and the external links in new window/tab hack.

Any other suggestions/requests/comments, go right ahead, I can only say no :-)

Fred.

I say leave it, hacking it just makes keeping up with security updates harder

Post Re: Forum Update!!
It's currently back to how it was, but with quickreply added and recaptcha added. I've reapplied the 3 small changes that I originally made and don't plan to do anything else to it :-)

If you notice a section where there ISN'T a quick reply button at the bottom, please post here, it's just a settings change away. I may have missed a few, but most should be good :-)

The forum is pretty mint. Now, on with the code/release/main site/thread updates! :-)

The "view active topics" link doesn't show all the active topics.

Thanks, Jim reported it to me via PM and claimed he didn't find this thread because it wasn't working LOL.

I imagine it's just a bug in this version and when I grab the next one pretty soon it'll be gone.

Thanks for your patience as I struggle along with limited resources...
