Aaron,
Still no luck with the dowload on github.
Sue is going to need to need a copy if she is going to help. Any thoughts?

Ok, the new link worked.
Now for the really stupid question, how do I run it? All the stuff on the list are doanloaded and install butI don't seem to have anything that regonizes this file type?

Did you run the Python MSI installer?
http://www.python.org/download/releases/2.6/
That should associate python (.py) files with Python, and you should be able to double-click the main.py file and have it boot up.

Yes, several times now.
The tuner came in as a xxxx.gz is that correct? PythonWin does not recognize that extension?

Ah, apologies. The *.tar.gz file is a compressed archive - much like a *.zip file. You need to extract it using a compression program - e.g. http://www.7-zip.org/

I am in the process or merging this thread with the Tuner Installation wiki page, and then we can link people directly to that for now on.
Maybe I should set up a proper windows installer for the app sooner rather than later.

You Linux virgins, how do you do it There is so much you can do in Linux that you can't do in MS land. I couldn't help but get dragged through it. I now wonder why I keep an XP box in my system.

Like living in the nothing plays with anything else without finding 1/2 dozen other things....no thanks. I'm a big fan of plug and playjharvey wrote:There is so much you can do in Linux that you can't do in MS land.
