I wash it more often than the car. The underside of the hood is
still covered in baked on oil film, I need to figure out a
solvent that will take it off, without dissolving the paint.
There are drips of undercoating on the strut towers too.
I'm running with the front carpet removed at the moment also, as
there are a few persistent leaks that keep the carpet damp in the
rainy season here. Some of the seals are no longer available,
unfortunately. One of these years I'll tear out the dash
completely and sort everything out.
A clean engine is a happy engine, or at least is an engine that will
tell you where it's leaking .

For those asking about TA setup enclosures, here is mine:
I'm planning to wrap it in aluminum tape and mount it behind the glove box, lid down.
I'll mount the ECU to the lid, so that it is easy to remove and more waterproof.

Yes, it's nice isn't it! :-)The temperature readings are off, the IAT read 2c when ambient was ~15c, but I haven't set up the firmware for GM sensors (or anything) yet. It was very satisfying to fire the motor up and watch the CHT values slowly climb as the engine warmed up.

Sim, I'm excited to do that work, if you could build the required circuitry, that would be great! If you refuse until you have your tunable temp based ignition, that's fair, just let me know what your decision is :-)

having it point at zero all the time is pretty lame.
It would also be a valuable troubleshooting tool.
Do you have a pin suggestion? I don't think I saw anything in the
docs, but I'll look again later.
My tach gets the dwell signal from the coil terminal, one pulse
of 12v per cylinder fired.
I'll see if I can get a schematic sketched up and I'll post it, I
don't think RavAGE has a tach output circuit to rip off yet.
I've been meaning to implement this circuit anyway, so I'd have
grounds to bug you for code
It might be a week or two before it's all soldered up.
As for the warm-up corrections, the dizzy I ripped off of there
knew nothing about the temperature, and I'm a ways away from fuel
still. As long as I can use the choke handle next to my steering
wheel, I'll be okay. I still need to re-do the sensor wiring in
the shielded cable that I bought in any case.
The car is up on stands today anyway. One of the rebuilt front
calipers I bought is about two millimetres out. A little bit of
grinding and a set of half worn pads should get me back on the
road until my parts supplier can sort me out a correct caliper,
but it's city bus for me today. The new rotors, calipers and
brake lines sure look nice on there...

Yep, take your pick of port A 0-3 and let me know which it is when you get around to it. If I beat you to it, I'll dictate, so if they're awkward, better to at least figure out where you want it to be before you build it. Sound fair? :-)
Re a circuit, you need a driver to switch a relay coil on and off again to simulate a real coil. That's about it. Make sure the noise from that doesn't make it to your PCB though, it WILL give issues. Just ask Sean :-)
