• Jan 23, 2008: - The initial base code ran on the GNU HC12 simulator for the first time today.
• Jan 22, 2008: - The device's memory map file, memory.x, was created and bench tested today.
• Jan 21, 2008: - The initial build structure has been completed and the first S19 built.
• Jan 19, 2008: - Processor function and initial port assignment mappings are complete.

• Jan 15, 2008: - Peter Siebold from of recent SpaceShipOne fame granted permission to re-host his ECU design under GPL and OHL.
• Jan 14, 2008: - A compact, regulated power supply was built ready for initial testing of the proto board when it arrives.
• Jan 14, 2008: - Three eurocard-sized, gold-plated strip boards, two 700mm 50 pin IDC cables and some power supply components acquired.
• Jan 12, 2008: - The web site design and layout were donated by Rebecca Cumberlege. We are working hard to populate it with content.
• Jan 11, 2008: - The firmware upload bash script was completed today. This awaits testing as the development hardware hasn't arrived yet.
• Jan 10, 2008: - The domain for this site was purchased and the sourceforge project setup process initiated.
• Jan 8, 2008: - The development hardware was ordered from Technological Arts and DIYAutotune.
• Jan 3, 2008: - An acquaintance linked me to the Technological Arts web site and sparked my imagination! The idea of FreeEMS was born.
